Bangladesh VS India @ Asia cup women 2024 Live



Bangladesh advanced to the semifinals of the Women's Asia Cup by convincingly defeating Malaysia's Women's team, winning their Group B encounter by a massive margin of 114 runs in Dambulla today.

Murshida Khatun, opening the innings, scored a brisk 80 off 59 balls, while captain Nigar Sultana Joty remained unbeaten on 62, playing crucial roles in Bangladesh's commanding victory over Malaysia.

Their strong batting display propelled Bangladesh to a formidable total of 191-2 in their allotted 20 overs. Subsequently, Bangladesh's bowlers maintained disciplined lines to restrict Malaysia to 77-8.

Choosing to bat first, Bangladesh got off to a flying start with Dilara Akter and Murshida combining for a rapid 65-run partnership in just 7.4 overs. Dilara Akter contributed 33 off 20 deliveries, including four fours and one six.
